Around last fall, I took a poetry workshop at school for credit. I will be the first to say that I'm absolutely DENSE when it comes to poetry, my post about Howl by Allen Ginsberg felt more like a rare instance of clarity - please don't ask me to dissect Robert Frost - but I like to think I'm improving. So in an effort to get better at the field of writing I'm weakest at, I'll be sharing the poems I wrote for that class, and then some.
If you're thinking "wow, this shit is cringe" I'm sure you're not the only one, I'm probably in that group as well! But isn't that the point of of being creative? Sharing your work in the face of failure?
If you a poetry expert, let me know! I'd love to hear your thoughts, if you have any advice, please share! I'm no Emily Dickinson here, I need all the input I can get.
But until then, come along on this journey of prose with me! Strap in, it'll be quite an experience.
